I'll stamp all over 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the pair confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming bout.

Former two-time unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

Despite those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the novice is still one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the usual face-off, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
